Changing Your Dial-Up Access Number

Dialer Access Number Changes:

Basic Settings for all Operating Systems
 Click here for the new access phone number for your location (No need to use the area code or a dash)
Please use your entire user name - for example: johndoe@moment.net (All lowercase letters)

Windows XP
Click on Start
Click on Control Panel
Click on "Switch to Classic View" if displayed of the left side under Control Panel drop-down
Double click on Network Connections
Double click on the Momentum Dialer
Make sure your entire user name is in the "User name" text box field - for example: johndoe@moment.net (All lowercase letters)
Change the phone number to be used for your city in the "Dial" text box field. (No need to use the area code or a dash)
Click "Dial" to connect which saves the changes. (If you don't make the dial-up connection, these changes will not be saved)
If asked "Make the phone number change permanent?", click "Yes"

Windows 2000
Click on Start
Click on Settings
Click on Control Panel
Double click on "Network and Dial-up Connections"
Double click on the Momentum Dialer
Verify the entire user name is in the "User name" text box field - for example: johndoe@moment.net (All lowercase letters)
Click on the Properties button at the bottom of the window
Change the phone number to be used for your city in the "Phone Number" text box field. (No need to use the area code or a dash)
Click OK
Click "Dial" or "Connect" to connect which saves the changes. (If you don't make the dial-up connection, these changes will not be saved)
If asked "Make the phone number change permanent?", click "Yes"

Windows 98
Click on My Computer
Click on Dialup Networking
Right click on Momentum dial icon
Click on Properties
Enter the number to be used for your city as shown below (No need to use the area code)
Verify the box stating Dial Using Area Code & Dialing Properties is not checked
Click OK
At the Dialup Networking window, double click on the Momentum Dialer
Make sure your entire user name is in the "User name" text box field - for example: johndoe@moment.net (All lowercase letters)
Click "Connect" to connect which saves the changes. (If you don't make the dial-up connection, these changes will not be saved)
If asked "Make the phone number change permanent?", click "Yes"

Windows ME
Click on Start
Click on Settings
Click on Control Panel
Double click on "Dial-Up Networking"
Double click on the Momentum Dialer
Verify the entire user name is in the "User name" text box field - for example: johndoe@moment.net (All lowercase letters)
