Modem Settings
For Windows 2000 Professional

Double Click on the My Computer Icon from your Computer Desktop

Double Click on Control Panel

Double Click on Network and Dial-Up Connections

Right Click on the Momentum Online Connection

Left Click ( Click the regular way ) on Properties

Click on Configure...

    Make sure the appropriate Modem Setting is selected.

    For 56 K Modem select 57600

    For 33.6 K Modem select 38400

    For 28.8 K Modem select 38400

    Make sure all of the boxes Enable hardware flow control, Enable modem error control, and Enable modem compression are checked

    Click OK

    Click OK again to close the Properties box

    Close the Network and Dial-Up Connections window

Double Click on the My Computer Icon again

Double Click on Control Panel

Double Click on Phone and Modem Options

Click on the Modems Tab at the top

Make sure your modem is highlighted

Click on Properties

Make sure the appropriate Modem setting is selected.

    For 56 K Modem select 57600

    For 33.6 K Modem select 38400

    For 28.8 K Modem select 38400

Click OK

Click OK again to close the Phone and Modem Options window

Close the Control Panel window

Restart your computer the proper way

    Go to the Start button

    Click Shut Down

Select Shut Down

Click OK

Wait Five to Ten Seconds after shut down then Start the computer

Your Modem Setting should work correctly
