Patriotic Poem for January
Our ship of State is going through
some rough waters.
Now Listen Americans
Now listen, Americans! Do listen
well!
Reality's pushing your consciousness
bell.
Awareness comes only if you
are alert;
And truth, when it sinks in,
may certainly hurt.
You've elected a man who does
not like the norm,
Intending, quite frankly, to
make you conform
To what he envisions, to what
he prescribes,
Despite the objections and negative
vibes.
He figure your voice can be dulled
to a squeak,
Because he believes that your
power is weak.
Because he's in power now, you
must obey,
No matter how shocking his edicts
convey.
But here we can vision just
what is in store
In how, in his mind, he envisions
this war.
You cannot let logic and sanity
fly
By telling the world that we're
the bad guy.
You cannot negotiate, even begin,
By telling the enemy they're
going to win.
We were innocent victims when
all this began,
A religious Jihad put in force
by Iran.
Well over four thousand are
dead by this time,
But our president wants to just
label it crime.
So, Mr. President, tell us again,
If we are the bad guys, just
where, how, and when?
Americans do not like war--that's
a fact.
But, by God, when angered and
harmed, they will act.
When needed, they've fought
the world's battles, and won.
We need not apologize for what
we have done.
Your actions tell us that you
think us a fool,
The socialist dogma that people
can't rule.
Try flooding the polls with
political spin,
Try rigging the precincts. You
still will not win!
